The Ancient Flavour:
On a wide saddle at a height of 1005m (3500 ft) overlooking the Marsyangdi river valley, Bandipur provides an unrivalled view of the Himalayan panorama (including the range of Gorkha Himal, above). The surrounding hills are ideal for hiking along trails that take you through tribal villages, verdant forests, 'power places', and hilltop shrines which once doubled as fortresses. Well-preserved Bandipur today invites travelers to come and experience its unique offerings: mountain cultures, mountain views, and mountain walking. Bandipur is tantalising-and as yet undiscovered.

DAY 01 :
Kathmandu arrival, check into your hotel, complete rest for overnight.

DAY 02 :
Full day sight seeing for Pasupatinath Temple (Hindu Temple), Boudhanath (The ancient colossal Buddhist Stupa is one of the biggest in the world and the center of Tibetan Buddhism in the world) Swayambhubnath (one of the world's most glorious Buddhist Stupa, it is said to be 2,000 years old) Durbar Square (Hanumandhoka) It is the historic seat of royalty built by King Mahendra Malla in 1549 AD. The Durbar with its old temples and places epitomizes the religious and culture life of people. Back to hotel.

DAY 03 :
Half-day sight seeing for Patan (The ancient city of Patan, lying 5km southwest of Kathmandu, is known as the city of fine art) and Bhaktapur Durbar Square (The Golden Gate is the entrance to the main courtyard of the PALACE OF 55 WINDOWS) and back to hotel.

DAY 04 :
Fly or drive to Pokhara Half day sight seeing to Barahi Temple (Hindu Temple, crossing Phewa lake on boat) Phewa Lake: It is situated at an altitude of 784m above sea level with an island temple at the middle of the lake called Barahi Temple. Devi's fall (locally known Potale Chhango in the southern flanks of the Pokhara valley is where the stream flowing from Phewa Lake collapses and surges down the rock into a deep gage, leaping through several potholes.

DAY 05 :
Early morning drive from Pokhara to Dumre Bazaar Dumre Bazzar can drive or hike for few hours to link road to reach Bandipur. Stay overnight

DAY 06 :
Full day Bandipur sight seeing BANDIPUR: Bandipur indicate that the surrounding region located on a 1,000m ridge in Tanahun district some 140km from Kathmandu, Bandipur's hallmark is its beautiful scenery. At the eastern part of the town is the pagoda-roofed Bindabasini temple which house goddess Durga, Bandipur's guardian deity. The rich wooden carving and detailed brass-work that adorned the temple are replicas of those found in the many old pagoda structure of the Kathmandu Valley. The other important temples and shrines in the vicinity include the Mahalaximi temple with its exquisite woodwork and the Khadga Devi temple which comes alive once a year during the Dasain festival. On terrace fields, these communities grow millet, corn and mustard. Rice grows on the irrigated fields. Fruits growing are gaining in popularity, particularly citrus. Women, when not working in the fields, can be found weaving cloth and baskets. The Magar and Gurung menfolk have traditionally joined the Gurkha forces in the Indian and British armies.

Bandipur has a mountain resort at one end or Tudikhel and another is coming up above the town. Visit to Mountain Views, Tudikhel: the most convenient place for a Mountain View, the field at the northern end of town. This unique flattop, right by a precipitous cliff which falls away towards the Marsyandgdi valley far below. Caves: Bandipur's hillsides are also well known for their caves, which carry religious significance for the locals. The Gadhi: Northeast of Bandipur, on a hilltop, the view of the Himalayan from this high point is fully wroth the hours hike getting here. Back to the hotel

DAY 07 :
Half-day sight seeing for Mukundeswari: An important tribal power place is that of Mukundeswari, atop a high summit at the end of a two-hour walk from Bandipur. The shrine here is festooned with numerous bells and tridents, and it is especially revered by Gurungs. You will see some knivesand swords, apparently placed here by victorious warriors of long ago and back to the hotel.

DAY 08 :
Early morning hike downs the trial down to Dumere Bazaar, or taking a ride down on the link Road to drive Kathmandu arrive to Kahtmandu at late evening.

DAY 09 :
Arrive to Kathmandu, dinner host by PACIFIC TOURS & TRAVELS.

DAY 10 : Transfer to airport for departure (service ends)
