LUMBINI
The main attraction of Lumbini is the Sacred Garden that possesses all the treasures of the area. The Mayadevi temple, under the branches of a large pipal tree, is an important religious site. This is where we find a bas relief of Mayadevi, the Buddha's mother, giving birth to him.
TOUR PROGRAM
Day 1:
Arrival Kathmandu, transfer to hotel, welcoming.
Day 2 : Full day sight-seeing Swayambhunath, Boudhanath all the monasteries around this place (Buddhist Stupa), Durbar Square, Bhaktapur (Ancient Cities of Kathmandu Valley).
KATHMANDU
The history of the Valley begins with the Buddhist saint Manjushree who slashed a passage through the surrounding hills to drain out the primordial waters and make it inhabitable. Over the centuries, an new civilization emerged, built on a unique synthesis of Hinduism and Buddhism. Its deeply-religious Newar inhabitants built fabulous cities and artistic temples that attracted devout pilgrims as well as rampaging invaders.
Day 3 :
After breakfast drive or fly to Bhairawa to Lumbini via highway, Bhairahawa, transfer to Lumbini Budha hotel, sight-seeing around Kapilvastu, Taulihawa, where Lord Buddha was born.
Day 4 : Lumbini sight-seeing. Arrive to Lumbini the birth place of Lord Gautam Buddha, Kapilbastu district of Nepal. Lumbini- a place in the Sourth-Western Terai of nepal, evokes a kind o holy sentiment to the millions of Buddhists all over the world-as do Derusalem to Christians and Mecca to Muslims. Seable places are: The Ashokan Pillar, Image of Maya Devi, Puskarni-sacred pool, Sanctum-Sanctorum of the Birthplace, The Buddhist Temple, Kapilvastu, Aroarokot, Chatradei, Gotihawa, Kudan, Niglihawa, Sagarhawa and so many other beatiful historical places.
Day 5 :
Drive or fly to Pokhara.
Day 6 :
Pokhara sightseeing: Mahendra cave, Seti river, Barahi temple(bit these are general) boating on Fewa lake, Davi's fall and overnight at hotel, Budhist monatery which is made by co-operation of Japan. This is newly built monastery.
Day 7 :
Fly Pokhara- Kathmandu, at afternoon flight overnight at Nagarkot or Kathmandu for your free day for shopping.
Day 8 :
More sightseeing for Buddhism monastery and to see the children monk studens in Kapan Gumba, visit to Nabobudha.
Day 9 :
Departure for your home (service ends).
