Lower Dolpa and Kanchenjunga
Equivalent to US$ 10 per person per week for the first 4 weeks and US$ 20 per week thereafter.

Manaslu
US$ 90 per person per week for trekking during Sep-Nov and US$ 75 Per week during December-August.

Humla
US$ 90 for the first 7days and US$ 15 per day thereafter;

Upper Mustang and Upper Dolpa
US$ 700 per person for the first 10 days and US$ 70 per person per day Thereafter.

Trekking to Dolpa, Kanchenjunga, Makalu and Upper Mustang can be undertaken through registered Trekking agencies only.

For trekking through National Park Areas, an entrance fee of Rs.650 is levied for Sagarmatha area. Likewise, Entrance fee of Annapurna area Rs.2000 is levied for trekking at the Annapurna conservation Area.
  • Trekkers should follow the route prescribed for them by the department of Immigration.
  • To trek along routes that are not prescribed may create serious problems regarding security, food and Accommodation
  • It is advised to arrange through the registered trekking agencies to prevent oneself from any unseen accident
  • Which may occur at any time during the trekking period
  • While trekking it is advisable to take only authorized guide and porter.
  • Be careful with matches around wooded or grassy areas, forest le grass fire causes serious damages.
  • Be most economical with all fuel, specially regarding the local firewood use minimum fuel for hot shower and
  • Discourages campfire. Trekkers are strictly forbidden to cut any green forest resources and to kill any wild
  • Life. Give preference to iodides and trekking companies that do not use firewood and encourage their efforts to conserve the environment.
  • Use washing and toilet facilities provided or if non are available make sure you are at least 30 meters away from any water source. Bury excreta and toilet paper and use biodegradable toiletries. Avoid the use of non-biodegradable items possible. Support measures to reduce pollution and environment.
Altitude sickness
Altitude sickness, often known as Acute Mountain Sickness or AMS, if not treated when symptoms first appear, can lead to death. It is the effect of altitude on those who accent too rapidly to elevations above 3,000 meters. Early mountain sickness will manifest itself in headache, loss of appetite and sleeplessness. Do not ignore these warning otherwise more serious symptoms can occur which can even cause death sometimes within a few hours. Being young, strong and fit does not help. Medicine is no substituted for decent. If a doctor is available, he may give medicine and oxygen. However, the patient must go down even if given treatment. If you travel in Khumbu region you can contact hospitals at Khunde and Pheriche and if you travel to Manang you can contact Manang hospital for altitude sickness and information. Doctors are available there during trekking season.
